The body of a man was found at Laerskool Wonderboom Suid in Pretoria on Monday morning after he was caught scaling a perimeter fence the day before.

Kilnerpark Security firm spokesperson Klaas van der Kooi said the security company was called to the school on Sunday night after a disturbance.

A man was apparently moving between properties in the area.

“He jumped over a wall onto the school property and workers living on the property caught him,” van der Kooi said, adding the police had not arrived when security guards left.

He said it appeared the man was kept on the premises by the workers.

But on Monday morning, the police found him dead.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hero Gumbu confirmed the body was that of the same man, saying that a murder docket had been opened.

The principal Rina Pretorius, said she had received instructions not to comment on the matter.
