Atteridgeville shooting sparks looting spree

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed in Atteridgeville on Monday morning.

Police spokesperson Captain Thomas Mufamadi said this happened at the corner of Maboa and Ramushu streets around 09:30.

“When police arrived at the scene, they found the deceased lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound to the head,” he said.

“It is alleged that the deceased was shot by an Ethiopian man, who works near the victim’s shop.”
