NEWSFLASH: Staff and clients held up in east bank robbery

A bank was robbed in the east of Pretoria on Thursday.

Police spokesperson, Captain Dave Miller said this happened at a bank in Silverton around 16:00.

He said approximately three to four armed suspects entered the bank.

“They held up staff and clients inside the bank and the suspects managed to escape with an undisclosed
amount of cash,” he said.

“According to eyewitness reports, the suspects fled on foot.”

Miller said while the suspects made their attempt to escape the scene, one shot was fired.

No one was injured.

“Our forensic teams are currently on the scene, processing any evidence that they may come across,” he
