A business owner in the Moot was shot and killed during an armed robbery on Thursday.
“Four suspects entered the tile wholesaler and held up the owner,” police spokesperson Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said.
The 46-year-old Yawei Hu was shot in the head when the robbers found him in the shop.
“There’s no mention of other people,” Dlamini said.
A few electronics, a vehicle and other items were stolen.
“They stole a laptop, four cellphones and a Nissan vehicle which was later found abandoned nearby,” he said.
He confirmed that no arrests had been made by Friday.
