Three caught for business robbery

Three men were arrested for robbing a spaza shop in Pretoria West on Monday.

A neighbour said a shot was fired during the robbery in Oliewen Avenue around 13:00.

“I was in the house when I heard a gunshot.”

“I got up and immediately phoned the CPF after I saw three men running from the shop.”

The woman said CPF members chased and caught the three robbers.

“During the chase one of the robbers lost his gun. My husband later found the gun and handed it over to the police.”

According to the neighbour, no was injured.

The woman said according to the owner, an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

Pretoria West police spokesperson Colonel Michelle Toohey confirmed the robbery.

“I can confirm the arrest took place. Police are still busy with investigation.”
