Taxi driver killer still at large

The search is still on for a man who stabbed and killed a taxi driver in Atteridgeville last month, police said on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Captain Bonginkosi said this happened after an argument in Phomolong on 21 December.

“It is alleged that the 50-year-old taxi driver found his girlfriend with another man when he arrived at her house,” said Bonginkosi.

“A fight ensued between the two men around 22:30.”

Msimango said the taxi driver was stabbed in the upper body with a sharp object and collapsed a few metres from the scene.

He was declared dead by paramedics.
