Two brothers killed in Pretoria CBD business robbery

Two business men were shot dead during a business robbery in Pretoria Central on Monday morning.

Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said this happened at the Blou Bul Meat and Fish Market in Paul Kruger Street.

“Our preliminary investigations reveal that five suspects entered the butchery pretending to buy meat.”

“They immediately pointed the victims with firearms and killed the two brothers, who were also owners,” she said.

Selepe said a brown box with an undisclosed amount was taken by the robbers.

“CCTV video footage shows that the suspects were using two vehicles, a silver grey Mercedes Benz and a white Mercedes Benz.”

She said the incident was reported to the police around 6:05.

“We argue [urge] members of the public with information that can assist the investigation to contact 10111 emergency.  Information can be given to the police anonymously by phoning 08600 10111 or by sending an SMS to 32211,” Selepe said.
