New principal for Die Hoerskool Langenhoven

A new principal is set to start work at Die Hoërskool Langenhoven

Charmain O’Neil will assume duty at the school on 1 April.

O’Neil matriculated with distinctions at Hoër Volkskool, Heidelberg in 1984.

She then obtained her BA (ED) degree cum laude at PU for CHE, and then a BA Honours degree (History) cum laude at the same university.

O’Neil continued her studies and obtained an Advanced Certificate in Education: School Management and Leadership, also Cum Laude, in 2012.

In January 1990, she began her teaching career at Hoërskool Balfour, before moving on to Hoërskool Akasia in 1992.

O’Neil has been teaching at Elandspoort high school since 2007 where she advanced from deputy principal to acting principal and, finally, to principal.

O’Neil is described by those who have worked with her as an excellent leader and manager, as well as being a very motivated, disciplined, hardworking and organised person.

She has always been greatly respected by teachers and learners at her previous schools.

The staff and learners of Die Hoërskool Langenhoven are looking forward to reaching new and even greater heights under her leadership.
